Cherry Crest Color Walk-a-thon is Friday, Oct 4th

We are planning a Color Walk-a-thon Party to celebrate Cherry Crest’s 50th Anniversary!  Get ready to play!  Inspired by the Holi Festival, the theme this year is “A World of Colors” to highlight the fantastic diversity in our community and the world.  After walking laps, we’ll have a Fun Festival with carnival games led by 5th graders and live music by Grammy-nominated band the Recess Monkey.  Come hungry because we’ll have an awesome line-up of food trucks featuring The Roll Pod, Mami Tran, Chicago West Hot Dogs, and Jessica’s Unique Bite.  This is a family event open to all, so invite your friends, family and neighbors!
All Cherry Crest students will receive a Walk-a-thon t-shirt to wear on Walk-a-thon day featuring the winning shirt design from a Cherry Crest student – winner to be announced soon!  Our kids are excited to collect donations and walk lots of laps, with prizes going to classes raising the most money and reaching their goals (more to come on this!)
100% of the proceeds from our Walk-a-thon covers things like Teacher Aides in the classrooms and curriculum enhancement for all grades.
Please visit the Walk-a-thon webpage for more details and to sign up to help out at the event.
Drop us an email us if you’d like to help or have questions walkathon@cherrycrest-ptsa.org.
Thanks from your co-chairs,
Alan Schon and Roberto Linares
